Every product starts at 96. Flags, the brand's transparency grade and any recall linked to this product take points away. Nothing else moves the number, and no brand can pay to move it.

Good, check the flags
Scored October 2026 · checkthepanel.com
3 flagged ingredients.
Avoid first. Each flag costs points in the score above; where a flag has an entry behind it, it links to the evidence.
Added sugar
A sweetener with no nutritional job; it adds calories and nothing else.
Natural flavor
An undisclosed blend. Not harmful per se, but it hides what your pet is actually tasting.
Smoke flavor
A flavoring made from condensed wood smoke. In 2023 EFSA found genotoxic substances in most of the eight smoke flavorings on the EU market, and the EU has since withdrawn all eight; the label doesn't say which flavoring this is.

Third-party lab findings for things that never appear on an ingredient label. This is separate from the score above and does not change it.
We haven't found published third-party lab results (PFAS, heavy metals, phthalates) for this product. That is not a clean bill of health, just an absence of data.

- Oct 24, 2026 Panel Score 86 → 82: added a caution for Smoke flavor. The panel lists “Natural smoke flavor”. In 2023 the European Food Safety Authority found genotoxic substances in most of the eight smoke flavorings on the EU market, and the EU has since withdrawn all eight, so since October 24, 2026 a smoke flavor reads as a caution of its own. We used to read it as a neutral flavoring.
- Sep 22, 2026 “Corn syrup” is now “Added sugar”. The score did not change. The panel lists dried maple syrup, not corn syrup.
- Sep 21, 2026 Panel Score 94 → 86: added flags for Corn syrup and Natural flavor. The printed panel lists it and our record was not carrying the flag.
