What we collect

If you use the contact form, we receive your message, your email address and your name if you give it, and we keep them so we can reply. The form sends them through Cloudflare, which hosts this site, to our inbox. That is the only personal information we collect.

Your pantry, watch list and compare picks are stored in your own browser on this device. They are never sent to us.

Recall email alerts aren't open, so nothing on this site takes sign-ups. When alerts do open, this page will say so before a single address is stored, and what we'd keep is the address and the list of products you asked us to watch.

What other services see

Cloudflare hosts this site. Like any web host, it handles each visitor's IP address and basic request details in order to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

The site's typefaces are served from checkthepanel.com itself, so reading a page sends no request to a font service.

If you look a product up on the Analyze page, your browser sends the barcode or name you typed straight to Open Pet Food Facts and loads the product photo from their servers. Pasting a label into the Analyze page sends nothing anywhere.

What we do with it

We use your email address only to reply to the message you sent. We don't send marketing.

What we never do

We never sell, rent, or share your email or your product list. We don't run ads, ad trackers, or third-party analytics that profile you.

Deletion

If you want your messages and email address deleted, write to [email protected] and it's done within a week, no questions, no retention tricks.
