Flags-4 points in all

1 flagged ingredient.

Avoid first. Each flag costs points in the score above; where a flag has an entry behind it, it links to the evidence.

Caution-4

Synthetic fabric

Synthetic fibers shed microplastics, and a pet lies on this fabric and many lick or chew it; what that means for a pet's health is still an open question, and cotton, hemp, linen and wool avoid it.

BTransparency

Tuft + Paw

Wet cat food and tofu litter, alongside cat furniture, beds and blankets. Graded from the 10 products of theirs in this catalogue, not from an audit of the company.

Names the meat in both cat foods and every litter ingredient, and says each food batch goes to a third-party lab; one of the two foods carries a natural-flavor catch-all, and its cat bed, window hammock and blanket leave the foam, the felt, the faux fur and the suction cups unnamed. The B grade takes 2 points off this product's score.

Independent testing & contaminants

No independent testing on file.

Third-party lab findings for things that never appear on an ingredient label. This is separate from the score above and does not change it.

We haven't found published third-party lab results (PFAS, heavy metals, phthalates) for this product. That is not a clean bill of health, just an absence of data.

What we look for

This page was corrected once.

  • Oct 26, 2026 “Undisclosed material” is now “Synthetic fabric”. The score did not change. The lines behind it are “Faux fur” and “Ultrasuede”. Faux fur is synthetic by definition and Ultrasuede is a microfiber suede, so since October 26, 2026 both read as Synthetic fabric, the caution we added that day for a synthetic fiber in the fabric a pet lies on, kneads, licks or chews, and the faux fur no longer reads as a material the maker doesn’t name. Synthetic fibers shed microplastics, and what that means for a pet’s health is still an open question.

Holding the package and it reads differently? Disputes come straight to us, and any score we change is logged publicly on the corrections page.
