Why 8796 to start

It adds up, line by line.

Every product starts at 96. Flags, the brand's transparency grade and any recall linked to this product take points away. Nothing else moves the number, and no brand can pay to move it.

Flags-4 points in all

1 flagged ingredient.

Avoid first. Each flag costs points in the score above; where a flag has an entry behind it, it links to the evidence.

Caution-4

Added sugar

A sweetener with no nutritional job; it adds calories and nothing else.

IngredientsAs transcribed by Open Pet Food Facts contributors · 25 lines

Every ingredient, top to bottom.

Listed by weight, so the first few lines are most of the food. Tap any line to see what it is and why it's there.

25 ingredients. 1 of them carries this product's flag and is marked below. The other 22 raised no flag. 2 lines aren't in our library yet, so we couldn't check them; they're marked Not checked.

2 of the 25 ingredient lines have no entry in our library yet and stayed plain above. We could not check them, so they count for nothing in the score, for or against. Tell us what we missed.

CTransparency

Evolution Diet

Graded from the 2 products of theirs in this catalogue, not from an audit of the company.

Not enough to grade: we hold 2 panels of theirs, and they are clean, but a clean panel or two says nothing about the rest of the range. The C grade takes 5 points off this product's score.

Independent testing & contaminants

No independent testing on file.

Third-party lab findings for things that never appear on an ingredient label. This is separate from the score above and does not change it.

We haven't found published third-party lab results (PFAS, heavy metals, phthalates) for this product. That is not a clean bill of health, just an absence of data.

This page was corrected once.

  • Oct 4, 2026 Split a panel line we had imported as “Molasses omato paste” into “Molasses” and “Tomato paste”. The page now shows Panel Score 87 instead of Not enough data, with a caution for Added sugar. The panel text from Open Pet Food Facts runs two ingredients together and drops a letter. We read it as molasses and tomato paste, which let us recognise enough of the panel to score it. Molasses is an added sugar, which our method flags.

Holding the can and it reads differently? Disputes come straight to us, and any score we change is logged publicly on the corrections page.
