Save it to your pantry and the pantry page flags it if it turns up in an FDA recall we import.
It adds up, line by line.
Every product starts at 96. Flags, the brand's transparency grade and any recall linked to this product take points away. Nothing else moves the number, and no brand can pay to move it.

1 flagged ingredient.
Avoid first. Each flag costs points in the score above; where a flag has an entry behind it, it links to the evidence.
Undisclosed material
The maker doesn't say what this part is made of, so there is nothing to look up; the flag is about the missing name, not a known hazard.

The brand behind it.
West Paw
Montana-made Zogoflex toys, and blankets; the company says the toys are recyclable and dishwasher-safe, and offers a replacement guarantee.
Says its toys are BPA-, phthalate- and latex-free and independently tested to FDA and EU child-toy safety standards, but its Big Sky Blanket names only "faux suede" and "fleece", not the fiber. The B grade takes 2 points off this product's score.

No independent testing on file.
Third-party lab findings for things that never appear on an ingredient label. This is separate from the score above and does not change it.
We haven't found published third-party lab results (PFAS, heavy metals, phthalates) for this product. That is not a clean bill of health, just an absence of data.

- Oct 26, 2026 Panel Score 92 → 90: brand transparency grade set to B. An A means a brand names every material. On October 26, 2026 we added West Paw’s Big Sky Blanket, whose page names only “faux suede” and “fleece”, not the fiber, and no West Paw page we read names it, so the brand now grades B.
- Oct 16, 2026 Replaced the summary panel with the materials list West Paw publishes on its website. The page now shows Panel Score 92 instead of Not enough data. “Sheds microplastics” is now “Undisclosed material”. The earlier panel was written from a search summary in July 2026 and had not been checked. West Paw's product page, checked on October 15, 2026, says the toy is made with “Zogoflex® material” and doesn't say which polymer that is, so the caution is now about the missing name, not a known hazard.
